Artist, photographer and art therapist in the Atelier 47B and Atelier 47B workshops which were established by the psychiatric hospital Le Chêne aux Hayes in Mons.
I invested much of myself, heaps of emotional baggage, much time, dough, blood, smoke, thoughts. Maybe even artistic feeling.
I’m obviously lying when I say that I’m not attached to it. Did I said that? Yes, it’s a precious icon in my view.
But I know that the result would be innocuous if there’s not investment.
As for me, I invest, retract, project, a space for thought, a miniature temple, where to remember, the sacred.
We all have our images, our symbols, and I challenge anyone who tells otherwise.
It is not disordered. It’s a creation, a piece, a construction, in progress. There are guidelines, restrictions, impossibilities, convergences, links, procedures, prayers, libations, meaning and more meaning.
Exhibited within the framework of ‘Parallel Trajectories’ at the community arts centre in 2016, the piece was donated to the Paul Duhem Foundation in 2017.
André Delvigne also donated a Julien Tama piece to the Paul Duhem Foundation.
